Two Sri Lankan fishing boats found close to Indian coast seized

Coast Guard authorities on Friday seized two Sri Lankan fishing boats, which were found close to the Indian coast. An official release stated that as part of anti-poaching operations in the sea off the Tamil Nadu and Andhra coasts, Coast Guard aircraft and ships undertook surveillance. The Coast Guard ship Sagar apprehended a Sri Lankan boat, Chamindu Putha. A nother Coast Guard ship, Jijabai, apprehended the Sri Lankan boat Thimina . The total catch on board the vessels weighed 2,800 kg.
