Tamil Nadu Tourism Development Corporation (TTDC) has entered into an MoU with Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) to offer discounts in TTDC services for IOC customers.

According to the MoU, IOC customers who have Xtrarewards card are eligible to get 15 percent discount on the tariff rates of hotels and resorts of TTDC during select months.

However, the hotels at Kodaikanal and Yercaud would give only five per cent discount during the peak season, starting April 1 to June 15. In the hotel at Ooty, the five percent discount will be from April 1 to June 30. In Courtralam, the TTDC hotel would not offer any discount between July and August. Similarly, the discount is not applicable for the Mamallapuram resort from January 15 to 31, and for the hotel at Tiruchendur on ‘Kandhasashti Vizha.’

Signing the agreement, TTDC Managing Director A.C.Mohandass said TTDC runs nearly 54 hotels and resorts in tourist-interest places in the State with affordable tariff rates. The discounts would encourage tourists to patronage both IOC outlets and TTDC hotels.

He also announced that IOC cardholders can also get a 10 per cent discount on the package tours organised by TTDC. The discount is not applicable to Tirupati package and road-cum-rail tour, he said.

The Xtrareward card is available for IOC customers at 288 select petro pumps in the State, said IOC Deputy General Manager S.Ravichandran.
