Fans keep fingers crossed on Kabali release date

Social media websites were buzzing with speculation on Saturday evening about Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kabali being set for a July 22 release.

Even as enthusiastic fans tweeted that the movie, directed by Pa. Ranjith, was to be released on that day, information began coming in that the movie was yet to go to the censors, only after which would an official release date be announced.

The makers of the movie, including producer Kalaippuli S. Thanu and the director, have been silent on the release date.

Promotions for the movie have, however, been continuing with Air Asia’s flight that has been specially painted for the movie.

The songs by Santhosh Narayanan have been constantly getting hits online and the Telugu version of the songs has been released as well.

The movie is being dubbed in Hindi, Telugu and Malay.
