For the third consecutive day, unaccounted cash was seized in Pallavaram.

A team of officials were conducting checks on Pallavaram–Thoraipakkam Radial Road on Tuesday when they intercepted a car. Samuel Jacob, a financier and member of a trader's organisation, was found carrying Rs.3.86 lakh in cash. He told officials that the money was collected from members of the organisation. As he did not have any document to support his claim, the cash was confiscated and kept at a government treasury, officials said.
