From a day's event with local storytellers and Indian tales, the third edition of Hoo's Tales, a storytelling festival, has got bigger this year with a carnival of stories spread over a week.
Hoo's Tales opened here on Thursday at Sivagami Pethachi Auditorium in Mylapore. Talking about the challenges for a storyteller, Mr. Jenkins said they compete with TV, internet and the task is making any session relevant . “I make old stories modern by bringing things live,” he said. Ms. Raghunath said though storytelling sessions are getting popular but more professional storytellers need to come. Chandni Khanna of Hippocampus said the festival was held in Bangalore recently.
