Four young Indians will be part of the British Council’s Future Leaders Connect programme, a global leadership network for emerging policy leaders.

Hasiba Begum (mental health), Kajri Babbar (women and gender, LGBTQIA inclusivity through films), Shambhavi Singh (public health, specifically maternal and child care), and Shreya Juneja (inclusivity of women in the workplace), will be the representatives of India at the global platform.

They will be joining 50 people from twelve other countries at the Future Leaders Connect at the University of Cambridge, U.K., in October, with the cost covered by the British Council.

The final round of the selection was held at Saveetha University on July 25. In the 10-day programme, those selected will learn from global policy experts and inspirational leaders, and have meetings at the Parliament and with government institutions in the U.K., said a release.
