The Ice House police on Saturday arrested four people who allegedly attacked a fish vendor and his wife after barging into their house at Triplicane, on Thursday.
The police said the victims had been identified as Saravanan, 37, and Vijayalakshmi, 35. Saravanan was friends with the wife of ‘Auto’ Raja, 40, a resident of Mattangkuppam. Raja, along his associates, attacked Saravanan after he ignored his warning to stay away from her. Vijayalakshmi sustained injuries while trying to intervene.
Neighbours rushed them to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.
