Valuables worth Rs. 2 cr. stolen from gold loan firm

Four masked men on Friday evening barged into a gold loan company in Jannaganga Nagar and made good with valuables, including cash and gold, worth Rs. 2 crore.

Police sources said that the incident occurred around 4 p.m. and two of the men were armed with knives.

The sources said that they reportedly threatened three employees.

The Jnanabharathi police have registered a case and are investigating.

There were no CCTV cameras or a security guard outside the office at the time of the attack. Chilli powder was found on the premises. Police added that the men had attempted to wipe clean their fingerprints from the office.
