Two killed in separate hit-and-run cases

In separate accidents reported in the city on Wednesday, two persons, who had gone for a walk, were knocked down by speeding vehicles.

A 20-year-old cab driver was killed on the spot when an unidentified vehicle hit him on Hebbal Ring Road. Syed Khazi, a resident of Bhovishetty Layout, had gone out for a post-dinner walk. Passersby found him in a pool of blood and rushed him to hospital where the doctors declared him brought dead. The Hebbal traffic police have registered a case.

In another accident, 57-year-old Nanjappa was killed on the spot after an unidentified vehicle knocked him down on NICE Road on Wednesday night. The Kengeri policesaid Nanjappa, a resident of Nelamangala, was visiting his son in Rajarajeshwarinagar. Nanjappa was undergoing treatment at NIMHANS. His children found his body on NICE Road.
