Three students were run-over by a train while they were taking ‘selfies’ on the tracks near WonderLa, an amusement park, on the outskirts of Bengaluru on Tuesday.
The names and other details of the deceased, who are believed to be students of a reputed college in Bengaluru, are yet to be ascertained.
According to the Government Railway Police, the trio had come on a motorcycle and tried taking ‘selfies’ while standing in front of the running train. They died instantly and their bodies have been recovered, sources said.
An investigation by Bidadi police and RTO officials has been launched to ascertain the identities of the deceased, the sources added.
