Three more cases filed against Nagaraj by businessmen

There is more trouble in store for former councillor and rowdy V. Nagaraj. Three additional cases have been filed against him at the Kengeri police station by three businessmen, who have accused Najaraj of robbing them of demonetised currency worth ₹8 crore on the pretext of getting it exchanged.

Though the incident occurred in December, the trio, identified as Chandrakumar, Muniraju and Kalyan, filed the cases on Saturday.

As the police custody of Nagaraj and his two sons ends on Monday, the Kengeri police would being seeking a body warrant of Nagaraj to continue questioning him.

Meanwhile, Nagaraj's wife Lakshmi, who was on the run after her husband's arrest, was nabbed by the Malleshwaram police and handed over to the Hennur police. Nagaraj, who was arrested for abducting a businessman and robbing him of ₹ 50 lakh in old currency, had told the police that the money was with his wife.
