Temple priests come under scanner

Three priests of the famous Banashankari temple has come under the scanner after they were accused of stealing gold from the idol of of goddess Banashankari. Based on a complaint filed by Nagraj, one of the trust members, the police conducted an investigation. Mr. Nagraj, in his complaint, alleged the priests of stealing the ornaments by cutting them open. Deputy Commissioner of Bangalore (Urban) V. Shankar along with other officials of the Endowment Department visited the spot and ordered a detailed probe.
