The State High-Level Clearance Committee on Monday cleared two investment proposals worth Rs. 558.72 crore, including a textile machinery manufacturing unit to be set up by Toyota Industries India Pvt. Ltd. Together, the proposed projects will create employment opportunity for 932 persons.
The textile machinery manufacturing unit is proposed to be located at Vasanthanarsapura Industrial Area of Tumakuru district at a cost of Rs. 410 crore. The proposed unit, which was cleared by the SHLCC chaired by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, will provide jobs to 800 persons.
The other proposal, which got clearance, was a “precious slag ball manufacturing unit” to be located at Toranagallu village of Sandur taluk in Ballari district at a cost of Rs. 148.72 crore by Ecomaister Beads India Pvt. Ltd. The proposed unit will employment for 132 persons.
With the clearance for these two proposals, the total number of projects that have got approval in 2015-16 by the SHLCC touched 78 with an investment of Rs. 24,018.99 crore. Together, all 78 projects are expected to create 16,328 jobs.
