Sporadic rain to continue in State

Certain parts of the State may continue to receive showers in the next two days.

According to Karnataka State Natural Disaster Monitoring Centre (KSNDMC), a cyclonic circulation over Telangana and parts of Karnataka has been causing rainfall over interior Karnataka.

“A trough over Arabian Sea, and passing through Karnataka and Maharashtra, is also contributing to the weather change. These two systems are causing heavy rain over Telangana and Rayalaseema, and also bringing rain to Chamarajanagar, Ballari and Kalaburagi districts,” said G.S. Srinivas Reddy, director, KSNDMC, adding that sporadic rain is expected on Tuesday in interior parts of the State.

The city will be under a partly clouded sky on Tuesday, which is likely to bring down the temperature. “Certain parts of Bengaluru may also receive some showers,” Mr. Reddy said.

On Monday, the city recorded a maximum temperature of 29.6 degree Celsius and minimum temperature of 19 degree Celsius.
