Residents pour out woes to BBMP

June 05, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - Bengaluru:

Potholes, footpaths, garbage and fallen trees dominated the public meet at Malleswaram on Thursday where people conveyed their grievances to the BBMP. Demands presented to Administrator T.M. Vijay Bhaskar and Commissioner G. Kumar Naik included a new degree college at Srirampura, fixing of roads at Dayananda Nagar and public toilets. Mr. Bhaskar urged the public to inform them about civic problems either through WhatsApp, Twitter or Facebook for faster redressal.

Meanwhile, Mr. Naik said the corporation will henceforth make payments directly to the bank account of contractors. Currently, contractors have to visit numerous officials to collect their dues.
