‘Remove illegal hoardings’

May 31, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:33 am IST - BENGALURU:

Senior Congress leader and former minister B.K. Chandrashekar alleged that advertisement firms and land developers have blatantly violated rules and illegally installed hoardings in the city. He demanded the BBMP remove illegal hoardings immediately. He told presspersons that the “advertisement scandal” had ruined the beauty of the city and demanded removal of large hoardings installed on Race Course Road by a private land developer.

When asked about the hoardings after his ‘Bengaluru Rounds’, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said the BBMP is “in the process” of removing unauthorised hoardings. Ironically, party workers had on Saturday put illegal banners with his pictures in Yelahanka and Vidyaranyapura.
