Passenger held for smoking inside flight

On Saturday, Kempegowda International Airport police arrested a 30-year-old for allegedly smoking in the lavatory of an Air Asia flight and carrying a lighter illegally.

The crew of the flight coming from Bagdogra caught the man, Santosh, when he came out of the lavatory. He is also accused of creating a ruckus when questioned by the crew about smoking and endangering the lives of other passengers.

After the flight landed at KIA, Santosh was arrested. Police have booked him for endangering the lives of other air passengers, criminal intimidation and various other sections of the IPC. The police have recovered a lighter from him. He has been remanded in judicial custody
