A Mexican was arrested on Friday for attacking the relative of his landlady with a knife over a row.

The Kothanur police said Julian Heriberto Aguirre Hernandez, employed with an MNC, had rented the first floor of a house belonging to Asha.

On Friday afternoon, when Asha complained to Hernandez about the music being too loud, he allegedly abused her.

When her relatives Somashekhar and Naveen questioned him, heated arguments ensued.

It took an ugly turn when Hernandez took out a kitchen knife and attacked Somashekhar who was rushed to a private hospital.

Asha’s family filed a complaint. Police took Hernandez into custody, DCP Vikas Kumar said.
