An Assistant Manager of a private company in Lal Bagh Road was thrashed by women colleagues after he was allegedly reported misbehaving with one of them.

The police gave the details of the 29-year-old accused as Nitin, a native of Rajasthan, residing in Lal Bagh and working with the company for the past three years.

The victim, aged around 25, lodged a complaint with the police of alleged sexual harassment at workplace by Nitin. The accused forced the victim to sit next to him and misbehaved with her, she accused.

Allegedly, Tuesday’s incident is one of the many times that Nitin has been accused of locking women inside toilets or forced them to sit next to him.

On Tuesday when the victim raised her objection and narrated her ordeal, the staff members thrashed Nitin before informing the police.

The police have registered a case against Nitin under section 354 of IPC (outraging the modesty of a woman) and investigating further. The Sampangirama Nagar police detained Nitin for further investigations.
