Lokayukta plaint against CM’s Secretary

May 28, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:59 am IST - Bengaluru:

Just days before his retirement, a complaint has been filed with the Lokayukta against K.R. Srinivas, Chief Minister’s Secretary, alleging that contrary to rules he got two sites allotted to his family members from Kanaka Giri House Building Co-operative Society, even though he was allotted a BDA site.

The complaint also alleges that Mr. Srinivas, during his stint as Secretary, Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) in 2001–02, favoured his relative in the selection of gazetted probationer officers of 1998 and 1999 batches. The complaint also says that as the KPSC Secretary, Mr. Srinivas should be held accountable for the corruption and irregularities in the selection of gazetted probationer officers during 1998 and 1999 batches.

Lokayukta sources confirmed the receipt of the complaint and said that a case would be registered if the allegations were found to be prima facie true after a preliminary inquiry.
