Scrutiny: If some BBMP files were not properly maintained, some others with the BDA were missing altogether, Upa Lokayukta S.B. Majage and his officials found.

A team of officials from the Lokayukta made a surprise visit to Bangalore Development Authority and the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) offices and conducted inspections.

Based on the complaint, a team of officials, led by Upa Lokayukta S.B. Majage and Additional Director-General of Police Satyanarayana Rao, inspected the work by the BBMP Town Planning Department and found that files pertaining to the work have not been properly maintained.

The team later visited the BDA Town Planning Department and found that records pertaining to site allotment amalgamation and site conversions were missing.

Taking objection to this, Mr. Majage sought an explanation from the officials concerned.
