Lakhs to congregate at Siddaganga mutt today

More than three lakh devotees are expected to attend the ‘Punya aradhane’ of the seer of Siddaganga mutt Dr. Shivakumara Swami who passed away on January 21.

The programme will be held on the premises of Siddaganga mutt on Thursday. It will be inaugurated by Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy.

Deputy Chief Minister Parameshwara; Home Minister M.B. Patil, former Chief Ministers Siddaramaiah and B.S. Yeddyurappa, and other party leaders will attend.

Arrangements

Vishwanathaiah, administrative officer, Siddaganga mutt, said food will be served at 13 different places on the premises. Seating arrangements for 15,000 people have been made on the premises. Thousands of police personnel have been deployed at the mutt.

Seer of Sutturu mutt Shivarathri Deshikendra Swami; seer of Taralabalu mutt Shivamurthy Shivacharya Swami, Ravishankar Guruji of Art of Living, and other seers will participate.
