June 06, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:31 am IST - BENGALURU:

Governor Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala has returned the government’s recommendation seeking prosecution sanction against five ‘tainted’ members of the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC).

Prosecution sanction sought

Sources in the Secretariat said Mr. Vala sent back the file containing details about the State Cabinet decision seeking prosecution sanction from President Pranab Mukherjee against KPSC members S.R. Rangamurthy, M. Mahadev, H.V. Parshwanath, S. Dayashankar and H.D. Patil.

The Cabinet had decided to seek prosecution sanction against the members based on the CID probe report on the irregularities in the selection of 2011-batch gazetted probationary Group ‘A’ and ‘B’ officers.
