Four students killed in accident

Four students were killed after the sports utility vehicle they were travelling in rammed a truck on the outskirts of Nelamangala town on Friday.

Amith Kumar Giri (21), Rohith (20) Srivatsav (21), from Uttar Pradesh, and Amith Kumar Singh (22) from Bihar, as well as their pet dog were killed. They were residing in a rented house in R.T. Nagar. The group was headed towards Tumakuru. Traffic was disrupted for a while.

Nelamangala town police said a post-mortem report was being conducted to ascertain if they were under the influence of alcohol.
