Fog delays flights at KIA

At a time when the city is reeling under increasing temperatures, fog delayed flights at the Kempegowda International Airport yet again. On Monday morning, 46 departures and 25 arrival were delayed.

The fog settled in reducing visibility to less than 500 meters around 5 a.m. in the morning. According to BIAL, operations at KIA were suspended between 5.09 a.m. and 6.35 a.m. leading to several departures being delayed through the day.

The KIA sees a lot of flights in the early morning hours with at least 50 flights departing before8.30 a.m.
