Fire breaks out at KMF plant in Marathahalli

March 28, 2022 08:58 pm | Updated 08:58 pm IST - Bengaluru

An accidental fire broke out at a pouch filling plant of the Karnataka Milk Federation (KMF) in Marathahalli in the wee hours of Monday. Fortunately, no one was injured in the accident.

Sources at the Fire and Emergency Services said the fire call was made around 1:50 a.m. and the fire was put out by two tenders in an hour’s time. The fire broke out in the printing and packaging department of the plant, which essentially meant paper stocked in the area fuelled the fire further. Firemen suspect a short circuit may have triggered the fire.
