In a separate incident, a 52-year-old sub-inspector attached to Ulsoor traffic police station was assaulted by two bike-borne youths on Inner Ring Road near Domlur on Thursday evening.

The injured PSI, Ravish T., had stopped a scooter. On learning that some documents were missing, he was trying to issue a notice. This led to a heated argument with the two men on the scooter who allegedly attacked Ravish with a helmet and tried to escape.

The JB Nagar police have arrested the motorcyclist.
