The Congress, which is racing to power in Karnataka, however has not been able to break the BJP’s hold over Bangalore, which has 28 assembly constituencies.
According to Election Commission of India, the Congress and BJP are leading in 12 seats each at 12 noon while the JD (S) is leading in its stronghold of Chamarajpet assembly constituencies.
While the Congress was leading in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, Shivajinagar, Shantinagar, Gandhinagar, Chickpet, Byatarayanapura, Govindarajanagar, Vijayanagar and BTM Layout, the BJP was leading in Rajajinagar, Yelahanka, Yeshwanthpur, Dasarahalli, Mahadevapura, Bangalore South, Anekal, Jayanagar, Basavangudi, Padnamabhanagar and C V Raman Nagar.
