A 15-year-old class X student was allegedly raped by her friend Girish, who is from a neighbouring village, on Tuesday night.
Girish had taken the girl out on Tuesday evening in a friend's car. There were two more youths — Gangaraju and Kanakaraju — in the car. Sources said that the car broke down on the Nelamangala highway. Girish's friends went searching for a mechanic. At that time, Girish allegedly raped the girl.
Kudur police registered a case of rape and also under POCSO Act, 2012 and arrested all the three youths.
“We are investigating whether the two friends of Girish also sexually abused the girl, or conspired with him,” police said.
