Body of woman found

Body of a middle-aged woman with head smashed was found on a heap of sand near the under-construction house at Munishetty Layout in Mahadevapura on Tuesday morning.

The police are yet to trace the identity of the woman who was allegedly strangled to death with her own sari and her head was smashed with a boulder. The labourers who came to work at the construction site noticed the body and alerted the police

In another incident, a woman construction labourer was attacked allegedly by the son of her employer in Annasandra Palya in HAL police limits on Monday night.

The victim identified as Parvathamma (35), native of Raichur, was allegedly attacked at her makeshift house.

According to the complaint lodged with the police, Parvathamma was working under a civil contractor identified as Narayana Reddy. Reddy’s son Suman Reddy (22) on Monday night allegedly barged into Parvathamma’s house and attacked her with a cleaver.

Suman Reddy was arrested and remanded in judicial custody, and the police are yet to ascertain the reason for the attack.
