Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister B. Janardhan Poojary on Monday criticised writers S.L. Bhyrappa, D. Javare Gowda and Kum. Veerabhadrappa for saying that Anna Bhagya scheme would make the poor lazy. He told presspersons that the State government, led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, had taken a right step in helping the poor.

Mr. Poojary also chided External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje for allegedly using their offices and position to facilitate the release of travel documents to former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi.
