‘Achieve zero tolerance in crime prevention’

Urging the State police to work efficiently, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah advised police officers to work more effectively to achieve zero tolerance in crime prevention and in maintaining law and order in the State.

He was addressing senior officers at the annual review meeting with top police officers at the State police headquarters here on Saturday.

Mr. Siddaramaiah warned police senior officers and police commissioners that they would be held responsible for the any lapses on the part of their staff.

Mr. Siddaramaiah also directed the Prison Department to put a full stop into jail break incidents and illegal activities occurring inside the prisons, warning them that the respective senior police officers would be held accountable for any incident in their jurisdiction.

Home Minister K.J. George and other top officials were present at the occasion.
