An undertrial gave police the slip today and escaped from a government hospital in Bangalore where he was undergoing treatment for renal problem, police said.
Dharam Singh Yadav (40), a native of Haryana, escaped from government-run Victoria Hospital by throwing chilli powder into the eyes of a Head Constable and a constable, police said.
Yadav was undergoing trial on charges of murdering his wife, son and daughter under Vidyaranyapura police station limits last year.
Hunt is on to nab him.
