Traffic diversion near Binny Mills

Traffic on Mysore Deviation Road, near Binny Mill, has been diverted to adjoining roads following the collapse of a culvert on a major drain beneath the railway bridge.

The police said in a press note that the road would remain closed till February 21 to facilitate the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to complete the culvert work.

As a result, the road from Binny Mill junction to Hunsemara junction will remain closed to traffic.

Vehicles from the Binny Mill junction bound towards Magadi Road and Rajkumar Road have to turn right at the Binny Mill junction to join Goods Shed Road, Shantala Silk junction, City Railway Station, turn left at Sangolli Rayanna junction, proceed on Platform Road to reach Okalipuram junction.

Motorists from Magadi Road and Rajkumar Road bound towards K.R. Market and Mysore Road have to take the same route till the Shantala junction and then proceed on Cottonpet Main Road.

Traffic hit

Traffic in and around Majestic, Okalipuram, Magadi Road and surrounding areas was severely affected on Saturday evening after a BMTC bus got involved in an accident near the railway bridge on Platform Road.

Normality returned by 9.30 p.m., M. Abdulla Saleem, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic and Security), said.
