Security cover has been stepped up at the French Consulate in the city following a threat letter found by the staff on Thursday.

The staff found the letter suspected to be written by a terror organisation and informed the jurisdictional High Grounds police. The police rushed to the spot and sanitised the area and stepped up security cover. Sandeep Patil, DCP, Central Division, visited the spot to supervise the investigation. The police are probing the source of the letter.
