Academy invites entries for book awards

Karnataka Sangeetha Nritya Academy has invited books published in Kannada on music and dance for its books awards for 2011–12, 2012–13, 2013–14, and 2014–15.

Books on Carnatic and Hindustani music, Sugama Sangeeta, dance, Kathakeertana and Gamaka, published during the calendar years concerned can be sent. While the prize amount for the books selected for the award for 2011–12, 2012–13 and 2013–14 is Rs. 5,000, it is Rs. 25,000 for 2014–15. Applications, along with four copies of the books, should reach the Registrar of the academy, Kannada Bhavana, 2nd Floor, J.C. Road, Bengaluru 560002 by January 30.
