3,952 RTE quota seats allotted in third round

At least 10,908 RTE quota seats for the coming academic year are likely to remain vacant at the end of the admission process.

On Thursday, the lottery process for the third round of admissions was conducted. Parents, who have obtained RTE seats for their wards, would get confirmation messages and have been asked to complete the admission process in the respective schools by May 23. As many as 3,952 students were allotted seats in the third round in which 5,140 seats were up for grabs. The students were shortlisted from 62,540 eligible applications.
