A colourful Japanese style sports event – Undokai – was held at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium (Port Stadium) on Saturday.

Students participated enthusiastically in the variety games. In the ‘ball toss game’ the participants had to pick up the balls, lying on the floor, and put them in the basket.

In the ‘Carry the Big Ball’ game, the teams carried the big balls over their heads and passed them on from end to end. The ‘Beach Flag’, ‘4 way tug of war’ and ‘Sumo’ were some of the other attractions in the programme organised by Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan in collaboration with the Japan Sports Communication (JSC).

A variety cultural feast with yoga, flower and star formation, aerobic dance by primary children and hoopla exploration was presented by children.

An Odissi dance presentation by Japanese women was a special attraction for the guests.

The School Newsletter ‘Young Smiles’ was released on the occasion.

Former test player and National Selector of BCCI M.S.K. Prasad was felicitated on the occasion.
