The city police have imposed traffic restrictions on the Beach Road near Yoga Village on the occasion of International Day of Yoga on Sunday.

Over 5,000 people are likely to converge on Yoga Village from 4 a.m. for a special programme scheduled to commence at 5.30 a.m. According to ADCP K. Mahendra Patrudu, traffic has been regulated from 4 a.m. to 9 a.m.

Movement of all the vehicles would be restricted from Park Hotel Junction to NTR statue and residents in this stretch are advised to search for alternative routes.

Earmarking the parking slots, the ADCP said those coming from the All India Radio junction and Siripuram should park their vehicles on either side of the Beach Road in front of VUDA Park, near MGM Park, AU High School to Police Mess, and in the APIIC vacant land near Dr. T. Subbarami Reddy guest house.

Those coming from Collector’s office junction and Pandimetta Road, should park their vehicles near Gokul Park, service road in front of Novotel Hotel, and on either side of the Beach Road from NTR Junction to fishing harbour.
