From Kalamkari saris to accessories and dress material, hand-woven Bengal cotton saris to Venkatagiri saris, Kota-cotton saris to Jaipur bedspreads and home decors, the exhibition showcases a variety of products, sourced directly from weavers and craftsmen.

Presented by Sangamam Craft Bazaar, the annual fair that began at Vemana Mandiram here on Friday catered to the seasonal needs.

What appeared to be an added attraction was the availability of a wide range of Kalamkari saris and bed linen. More than 20 stalls have been put up as part of the exhibition that displays a collection of lightweight summer ensembles.

In all, 25 craftsmen from Warangal, Kolkata, Jaipur, Hyderabad, and Venkatagiri have gathered to exhibit their wares.

“The purpose of the fair is to promote handcrafted products, enhance the livelihood of weavers, and provide them an opportunity to understand the needs of customers,” says G.K. Anand of Sangamam.

The exhibition will be on at the venue till May 7 between 10.30 a.m. and 9.30 p.m.
