About 30 cultural organisations have represented to Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivasa Rao to see to it that work is launched on construction of ‘Ravindrabharathi-type’ auditorium at MVP Colony.

In a representation to the Minister at a programme organised by Kalavedika, its founder Nanduri Ramakrishna said though foundation was laid for the auditorium a year ago by the Minister himself no work started on it.

He said the cultural organisations would associate themselves with the government and seek funds from various public sector units for the auditorium. Singer ‘Ghazal’ Srinivas has expressed willingness to participate in fund-raisers.

The singer, who performed a ‘ghazal vibhavari’, was felicitated by the Minister on the occasion.
