As part of the Swachh Bharat campaign in colleges, volunteers of Green Globe Nature Club of St. Joseph’s College for Women took up ‘My clean classroom and my clean garden’ programme on Wednesday.

Students cleaned their classrooms and laboratories. Volunteers of the club, particularly from the Biology Department, participated. They removed weed and waste material from the botanical garden of the college and planted saplings. The programme was coordinated by Head, Department of Botany and Biotechnology, K. Manikya Kumari.

Several faculty members too participated. Principal Sister Shyji lauded the students for the initiative.
