Selected for Indian Police Medal

Three from the district were selected for the award of the Indian Police Medal. The list of those selected for the award was announced on Sunday on the eve of Republic Day.

Inspector of SBX (which deals with anti-Maoist activities) of rural police A. Venkata Rao, Regional Vigilance and Enforcement Officer Atchyuta Rao and Head Constable of ACB Md. Hameed Khan were selected for the IPM.

Mr. Venkata Rao was felicitated during the Republic Day function at the Police stadium here on Monday by Collector N. Yuvaraj, Commissioner of Police Amit Garg, DIG of Police A. Ravi Chandra and Superintendent of Police Koya Praveen.
