Scoot’s fare between Vizag and Singapore starts from ₹6,725, says its Chief Commercial Officer Calvin Chan.

Scoot, the low-cost arm of Singapore Airlines (SIA), appears to be going great guns in a little over a week after the launch of its Vizag – Singapore flight. The route has been transferred from SIA’s sister airline Silk Air, which has been operating for the past seven years.

“The frequency of flight services to Singapore has increased from the earlier thrice a week to five times a week,” Calvin Chan, Chief Commercial Officer of Scoot told The Hindu on Monday.

Passengers now can travel directly from Visakhapatnam to Singapore and connect to 60 other destinations across the Scoot’s network, including cities in Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines and Malaysia.

No immigration check

The Scoot customers with connecting flights on SIA or Silk Air network do not require to pass through the immigration check in Singapore and their checked baggage would be delivered to their final destination, Mr. Calvin Chan said.

Scoot’s one-way tax-inclusive fare between Vizag and Singapore starts from ₹6,725. The airline allows passengers the choice to customise the way to travel. They can purchase seats with additional legroom, meals, and more baggage allowance, depending on their budget. Scoot-in-style premium privileges include priority check-in and boarding and lounge access at Singapore.

Meanwhile, the airline is offering promotional fares from November 5 to 16 with one-way fares as low as ₹5,000 to Singapore, ₹6,000 and ₹10,500 to Sydney and Melbourne respectively, Mr. Chan added.
