Scoot Airlines to operate flight five days a week to Singapore from today

It will replace SilkAir flight operating thrice a week from city

Scoot Airlines will operate flight five days a week from Visakhapatnam to Singapore, replacing the SilkAir flight, which was operating thrice a week, with effect from Sunday (October 27).

Scoot, a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, will operate on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. The flight will take off from Singapore at 8.45 p.m. (Singapore local time) and land in Vizag at 10 p.m. It will take off from Vizag at 11 p.m. and land in Singapore at 5.45 a.m. (local time).

Welcoming the two-day additional connectivity to Singapore, AP Air Traveller’s Association (APATA) representatives K. Kumar Raja, D.S. Varma and O. Naresh Kumar, said that the four-hour flight would connect to 160 destinations from Visakhapatnam with through boarding passes issued from Visakhapatnam to countries like: China, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand and USA

The number of seats on this flight are 30 more than current SilkAir flight.

SpiceJet flights from today

SpiceJet is launching two new flights from Vizag to Vijayawada and Vizag to Chennai with effect from Sunday.

APATA commended Singapore Airlines, SpiceJet, Airport Director M. Raja Kishore, Visakhapatnam MP M.V.V. Satyanarayana and the Navy officials for their efforts in improving air connectivity.
