School opened in Koyyuru mandal

Improving the lot of Girijans, who are backward in all areas, is the main aim of the Government, Minister for SC and ST Welfare R. Kishore Babu said at a meeting held after inaugurating hostels for Girijan students. Mr. Kishore Babu, along with Minister for Panchayati Raj Ch. Ayyanna Patrudu, toured some areas of Visakha Agency and inaugurated the Rs. 1.25-crore Tribal Welfare Residential School at Downuru in Koyyuru mandal and a Rs. 1-crore building for degree college at Marripalem.

Mr. Kishore announced that he would tour all the districts from Kurnool to Srikakulam from February 1 to 7 to create awareness among SC and ST educated unemployed youth on the various government schemes and programmes meant for their uplift.
