RINL told to take part in infra creation

Top official lauds its green initiatives

Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel Ruchika Chaudhry Govil on Wednesday advised Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited to take advantage by taking active part in construction of highways and other infrastructure.

During her visit to VSP here along with a team of officials from the Ministry, she said RINL should avail huge infrastructure funding by Union government in the construction of National Highways, Railways and Housing for increasing the consumption of steel in the country.

She said RINL should penetrate into the market by establishing its brand image prominently across the country and play a vital role as a long steel producer. Ms. Govil commended RINL for its greenery, environmental protection measures and green initiatives in energy consumption. She also said employees should be given further training to enhance the skill levels to increase efficiencies in operations.

During her maiden visit to RINL, she held discussions with the top management led by Chairman-cum-Managing Director P. Madhusudan.
