Railways extend e-ticketing facility to disabled

Indian Railways has extended the e-ticketing facility to the physically challenged persons. Such persons, who belong to the jurisdiction of Waltair Division and desirous of availing e-ticketing facility, have to submit their original medical certificate along with two copies of recent passport size photographs, photo identity proof and proof of date of birth at the commercial branch at the Divisional Railway Manager’s Office, Waltair Division, Dondaparthy.

After due verification of the certificates/documents, they will be issued photo identity card which facilitates e-ticketing for booking of rail tickets. An exclusive facilitation counter at the DRM’s office has been opened and it functions on working days from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m, according to Senior Divisional Commercial Manager M. Yelvender Yadav.
