The CMR group would provide bird feed to the Kalpavriksham Foundation to feed birds at city’s parks.

On Saturday MD of CMR group M. Venkata Ramana handed over token packs of material to foundation’s secretary G. Srinivas, at a programme during which he released the brochure on cricket tournament for visually challenged.

The foundation is organising Pakshula Panduga to provide food and water to birds and also to create awareness among the people to protect birds, squirrels, ants and other species who suffered most due to Hudhud cyclone during last October after thousands of trees were uprooted. The programme would commence at the Balaji Park in Sector II of MVP colony at 7 a.m. on Sunday. Pakshula Pandaga is being conducted in association with GVMC and Nehru Yuva Kendra.

Mr. Ramana also handed over a cheque for Rs. 50,000 to Sk. Basha who is running a cycle shop near Chekkudurati building in Akkayyapalem, and also provides electric decoration and rents audio equipment. The Hudhud cyclone caused extensive damage to the decoration material and mike sets and he had also suffered an injury.
