An online passport mela will be held at the Passport Seva Kendra at Muralai Nagar here on December 27. The online appointments (online slots) will be released three days prior to the mela date i.e on Dec 24. Only fresh/normal and re-issue/normal applications will be accepted on Dec 27. Applicants have to book their appointments online by registering themselves on the website www.passportindia.gov.in .
They should visit the PSK on the scheduled date with a printout of Application Reference Number (ARN) sheet along with all requisite documents in original. Passport Officer NLP Choudary called upon applicants not to approach touts as the appointments for passport services are freely available online. Only those passport applicants who get online appointments for the scheduled mela date will be allowed to submit their applications. Applicants under ‘walk-in’ category, PCC, Tatkaal cases, pending cases and applicants without appointment would not be allowed.
